MOBILE APP
PROJECT OVERVIEW
This project was part of a design challenge for a company named MenuDrive. The challenge had a deadline of a week. Was asked to do research, user persona, user journey, and a clickable prototype. The challenge was to design an ordering and delivery experience where diners can order from a single resturant.

USER RESEARCH
Due to the deadline turn around time I figured the best way to gather data was via survey. With a combination of multiple choice and open ended questions I yielded some good results. After a 24 hour turn around I was able to generate 104 results.
KEY FINDINGS
• 27% of users order food online once a week.
• 86% of users like menu items to have images.
• 95% of users like menu items to be clearly categorized.
• 52% of users often re-order the same food.
• 54% of users sometimes make edits on menu items.
• 54% of users find the delivery fee most important..
• 71% of users find leaving the delivery driver instructions
very important.
USER PERSONA

USER JOURNEY

IDEATION - MOSCOW METHOD
After having a clear understanding of the jobs the users would be achieving, I started the ideation process. I organized all the information using the Moscow Method. This gave me a clear definition of the order of importance of features.
MUST
• Menu items with images
• Ability to re-order items
• Special delivery instructions
• Alerts for delivery status
SHOULD
• Menu items categorized
• Ability to edit food items
• Delivery fee clearly visible
• Ability to delete items easily
COULD
• Food rating system
• Pre select delivery routes
• Communication with driver
WON'T
• Profile creation
• Complicated food editing
USER FLOW - HAPPY PATH
This stage of Information Architect process is the User Flow. Here, I saw the steps the user would take to navigate through the app to perform certain actions. This would be the ideal Happy Path for a user to accomplish the tasks.

LO-FI WIREFRAMES
This step wasn't mandatory but I feel is a crucial step to the entire design process. Started getting ideas on paper and testing design flows. After experimenting with some ideas I decided with the overall design you see here. This is also a tool I use to organize all my copy and UX writing.

STYLE GUIDE
Since this was a design challenge for an already existing company I was provided with a logo and color scheme. I then took that to develop the icon library and different button stages. Here I can focus and develop the cards that will allows the Hi-Fi design stage a lot easier and smoother.

HI-FIs
When it came to the final design I wanted to keep the UI elements similar to the user flow, simple and efficient. Thus further solving some of the user persona's pains. This allowed for an easy and effortless experience through out the ordering and delivery process.
